There are so many popular online dating sites that it makes the mind wonder. Single people are finding out that meeting people online is easy and fun. People can live behind the mask of the Internet and pretend to be whoever they wish to be. Some pretend to be rich or good-looking, and they can be anonymously outspoken.

No online dating services will ever admit that their site is the number one cause of break-ups, but according to a new study in the journal Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking it just may be. Many believe that this is the easiest way to meet someone new, but Adita Paul did a study and found out that it is not as easy as one might believe.

Adita Paul studied data from a nationally representative survey of 4,002 people entitled How Couples Meet and Stay Together. One third of the people in her survey split up after one year of dating while 23 percent have a blossoming relationship off-line. Online dating is causing many problems to the healthy lives of people. Meeting new strangers all the time and keeping up with all their latest treads will cause a mental break down.

Online dating causes so much stress mentality that a person can fall into depression. People get into this online dating expecting bigger and brighter dating experience than dating normally. They feel overzealous about every single detail. That may not be the the worst part of it, as they may become addicted to dating different people constantly. They start dating every single week with new people, which will eventually leave them drained. Online dating is seriously causing health problems to people by causing them to get anxiety attacks.

Every person starts comparing their dates and ultimately wishes they can merge two or three into one. This lifestyle may grow into casual sex activities. This culture is being reinforced by the response of these online dating sites. Even though some of these dating sites do have good intentions in helping people find each other, like anything else in life it has been twisted for evil.

Trusting can become an issue because the mind starts to wonder if the person you are meeting is actually the right person. Most people have a double life in which whom they are online is totally different from the person they truly are. It is like buying an electronic headset online after merely reading the description and looking at the photo.

The day when the headset is received excitement runs over with eagerness to open the box. The box is ripped open and then the disappointment sinks in. What happens next is what happens to most people when they are dissatisfied. They repackage the item and send it back for a total refund. Funny thing is that one can avoid all the heartbreak by simply walking in to their favorite electronic store. Right there one can feel, touch and test the item before buying. Right there one can do a proper decision to purchase it. One way to make life less stressful is by meeting people face to face. Life is complicated enough and online dating is causing health problems.
