JOSIE GIBSON TO HOST NEW DATING SHOW
Made In Bristol Secures local celebrity, Josie Gibson as host
Release Date: 6th February 2017
Josie Gibson, former star of Big Brother, contestant in Channel 4’s current series of ‘The Jump’ and native Bristolian, is set to host her own television series for the first time, in Bristol.
The brand new dating show is called, ‘Getting Jiggy with Josie’. It will be aired in association with the new dating app, Jig Talk and will be screened on Made in Bristol and across Made Television’s network in Birmingham, Cardiff, Leeds, Liverpool and Tyne & Wear from Spring, 2017.
‘Getting Jiggy with Josie’ unveils a contemporary twist to dating, blending a unique mix of blindfolds and intrigue with probing questions about the lives, loves and most intimate secrets of each contestant.
Josie, also known for her strident views on post weight tummy tucks, will cajole and charm each contestant into divulging secrets about themselves, never revealed before.
Says Josie, “I’m blown away by this opportunity. To host my own show has been a dream for as long as I can remember; to be hosting as a modern day Eros is as good as it gets. I can’t wait to light the flame of love for as many of the contestants as possible.”
Potential consorts will be blindfolded throughout the duration of each show, while their dating hopeful will have the opportunity to assess them, based upon their answers and reactions and their performance under pressure. Other rounds of the show will push daters even further from their comfort zone, with features such as the ‘touchy feely’ contest. This will give each ardent hopeful the opportunity to win the heart and ‘sole’ of their date by giving them the foot or hand rub of their dreams.
Josie will play Cupid to each contestant’s Bow, quenching their desire for a hot date by teasing cringe worthy moments and secrets from each unseeing hopeful. Each show will culminate with a ‘slow dance’ in which the contestants will select their favourite track to dance to, shimmying alongside their beau, before the build up to The Big Reveal takes place.
Finally, the winning contestant is escorted – still blindfold – to a romantic dinner for two. The blindfold is removed and the dewy-eyed duo can decide whether they care to spend the rest of their lives living together in love and harmony. Or not.
The innovative new blind-dating app, JigTalk, is bringing conversation back into the dating equation. 16 jigsaw pieces cover each JigTalker’s photo, and these pop away one by one as more and more messages are exchanged between matches. With JigTalk, ‘Talk more = see more’. This refreshing, gamified approach to dating lets personality lead, re-injecting the all exciting ‘chase’. JigTalk will be released in early February on iOS and Android.
